How to catch a rainbow

This tool was said to be capable of capturing rainbows andholding them in place, allowing their colors to be admired at any time.

To use the tool, one had to wait for a rainy day when thesun peeked through the clouds. When a rainbow appeared, the tool had to be heldup towards the rainbow, with the hock positioned in the center of the arc. As the light passed under the hock, the rainbow's colors were capturedand held within the tool. And one could carefully bring the colors of the rainbow down.

What therainbow or the colors would then be used for the story does not tell.
